Virtual CMNH-Finding Science in Folktales Video Release

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire presents Finding Science in Folktales!  

"Join us for a trip around the world as we investigate animal science through popular folktales and legends! Participants travel from East Africa to Brazil and beyond as they hear how the King of the birds was chosen, why Bear has a stumpy tail, and more. Each folktale will have a corresponding animal science focused experiment or activity.

Wildlife Encounters @ Meetinghouse Park (behind Town Hall)

In cooperation with the Hampstead Parks and Rec department, join us at Meetinghouse Park behind Town Hall for this fun and educational live animal presentation!  Wildlife Encounters Ecology Center and Farm School will bring a selection of animal ambassadors to wow you!   Bring chairs and blankets and make yourself comfortable to enjoy the show.    Please plan to spread out and allow for social distancing.

Phase 4 of Reopening Starts May 17!

On Monday, May 17, the Hampstead Public Library staff is delighted to welcome patrons back into the building without an appointment. We’ll be open for short walk-in visits to browse, borrow, make copies, fax, print, etc. For the rest of the month, Library open-hours remain as Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 7 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. Visitors should try to limit their time in the building to 30 to 60 minutes.

Adult Craft: Sand Art Candle

This craft kit for adults will help you make a decorative piece to add to your outdoor space or relaxing space inside.  Using colorful sand and a dowel, you'll create a decorative base for a votive candle.  Kit includes glass, dowel, votive candle and colored sand.  Please register in advance, HERE.  Supplies are limited. You will be notified when your kit is ready for pickup.

The Hampstead Public Library invites you on a virtual adventure to Spain and back again! Theresa Fersch, a New Hampshire author, hiker, Systems Engineer, and Certified Life Coach, presents There & Back: Lessons Learned from a Life-Changing Journey on the Camino de Santiago. In this free Zoom presentation, Theresa recaps her experiences of hiking the Camino. You’ll be enchanted by the photos and the tales.
