Join Younhee Shin from the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project to learn how to make a Lotus Flower Lantern! Please note that Younhee will be joining virtually. You have the option to join virtually from home (but please pick up your materials to make the lantern ahead of time at the library) or you can join in person in the library where we will have the presentation on the big screen.
We have a fun Winter Challenge for you to kick off the new year! Join one of HPL's reading challenges - one for Kids & Teens or one for Adults. Earn entries for a raffle for kids and a raffle for adults.

The Hampstead Public Library is working with Rockingham Nutrition & Meals on Wheels to help with the Santa for Seniors Program. If you’d like to provide holiday gifts for a senior in need, check out the Giving Tree inside near the Library’s front door. Select what you can help with, shop, include the code number or card on the gift bag, and drop it off at the Library or the Rockingham Nutrition office in Plaistow by December 13. Please note, do not wrap the items. Gift bags are preferred and easier for the clients to manage.
Send us pictures or videos of your holiday light decorations and we'll print them out to display at the library for all to enjoy. The week of December 20th we'll post all the pictures together on our social media pages to create a Virtual Holiday Light Tour. This will help those who are unable to drive at night still enjoy the festivities around town!
Stop by and write a warm holiday card to thank area healthcare workers!
We will be collecting cards starting December 1st and up until Monday, December 20th. We will then drop off the cards and book ornaments we're making at the December 18th Wrap Party to area healthcare workers as a thank you for all their hard work.
Look for the red mailbox for the holiday cards to sign!
