Join Hampstead Public Library’s Team as our new Youth Services Librarian

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds, fostering creativity, and promoting lifelong learning? We’re looking for a dynamic, tech-savvy Youth Services Librarian to lead exciting programs, engage with the community, and make a lasting impact on the youth of Hampstead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and present engaging programs for children and young adults.
  • Build strong relationships with local schools, homeschoolers, and community groups.
  • Curate dynamic collections and develop creative book displays.
  • Seek grants and donations to support youth initiatives.
  • Provide reader advisory services and assist with library resources.
  • Collaborate with a library assistant on teen programming.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Creative, energetic individual with a passion for working with youth.
  • Tech-literate and up-to-date with library trends.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • MLS preferred, 3 years’ experience in libraries or equivalent relevant experience.
