Join us for Pizza and Pages: Banned Books Week Edition. Grades 5 and up. Sign-up required HERE.
The American Library Association acknowledges Banned Books Week from September 26-October 2nd. Books are challenged for a variety of reasons in public libraries, schools, and other settings. You have probably read a book that has been challenged and didn't even know it. Have you read Where's Waldo? Little Red Riding Hood? Both have been challenged!! For this program, we challenge you to read a banned or challenged book of your choice. Some options are listed below. Come ready to talk about your banned book, learn more about your freedom to read, and enjoy pizza!
