About Richard Lombard:
Richard Lombard has recently relocated to Londonderry NH. He has participated in many conservation efforts as well as serving on local boards and committees. With an interest in the conservation of grassland and shrubland bird species, he monitors and maintains nest boxes at several conservation sites in Essex County, Massachusetts, including the Trustees of Reservations property, Ward Reservation. These nest boxes not only provide nesting habitat for our Eastern Bluebird but for the Tree Swallow and American Kestrel as well. He frequently leads hikes for the Boston Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) in conservation areas introducing folks to the many beautiful and natural locations in our region. When not wandering through woodlands and fields, he enjoys canoeing throughout the Northeast and eastern Canada but his most memorable trip was in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) on a trip down the Canning River to the Arctic Ocean. This Refuge offers some of the most spectacular and breathtaking scenery and truly defines “Wilderness”!
