Due to the continuing COVID-19 health crisis, Interlibrary Loan is currently unavailable. We will announce in our newsletters and remove this message when it becomes operational again.
Looking for items that we don't own?
If you are a HPL cardholder in good standing, we will try to borrow materials for you from another library in New Hampshire, or beyond, if necessary.
Please check the library’s catalog for the item before submitting a request. We do not request items we own, however, you may put that title on reserve.
To submit an ILL request:
Option 1: Patron Initiated Request
Search for the item in the New Hampshire Statewide catalog (NHAIS), log in with your Hampstead catalog username/password to complete the request. You can have 5 active patron initiated requests at a time.
Option 2: Online request form
Use the online Interlibrary Loan Request Form below.
Option 3: Contact us
Ask in person at the front desk, or contact us by phone or email.
Requests usually take 7 to 10 days to arrive with some items arriving more quickly, while others could take a bit longer.
Titles should be published at least six months ago for us to request them via ILL.
