Women's Circle

What’s a Women’s Circle?

A women’s circle is a welcoming, safe, supportive and revered space for women to come together to be heard and seen. Women throughout history have gathered in circles to empower, support, and share wisdom with each other. These affirming community gatherings encourage women to get in touch with their own strength, creativity and wisdom. The women's circle is open to all adults identifying as female.

Author Joel Brown Presents on Writing

OH, SO YOU WANT TO WRITE? For heaven’s sake, why? And what about? How do you find your voice? What are some tips and tricks to help you start, keep writing, and finish? How should you approach revision? Is there life after NaNoWriMo?

In advance of November's National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), we get some answers from a veteran journalist and author, a professional who says he has “never had an honest job” since graduating from UNH with a BA in English. And there will be plenty of time for Q&A. Be ready to take notes.

Come Write at HPL

Are you a writer looking to meet other writers to discuss the craft or find a critique partner? Or maybe you're just looking for a quiet place to settle down to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard)? We have just the place for you!

We've set aside our large meeting room today to  encourage writers to stop in to write during November's National Novel Writing Month. We also have two small study rooms and a small conference room that will be accessible as well should you prefer a more private space. Coffee and tea will be available upon request, and a quiet spot is guaranteed.
