Storytime for 3 -5 Year Olds

September through MAY

Thursdays at 1:30PM  AND Fridays at 10AM

This 45 minute story time is just right for 3-5 year olds. It is filled with stories, songs, movement, and activity.  Thursday and Friday sessions will have the same theme and craft.

Listening to stories and participating in fingerplays, songs, crafts, and dramatic responses can broaden children’s experiences and stimulate creative thought. It offers an opportunity to develop socialization, language, and listening skills, and builds the foundations for reading.

There won't be any sign up for a specific series of Storytimes.  All sessions will be held on a "Drop-In" basis.
Please note: During the school year, if Hampstead schools are not in session ( weather-related or school vacations), this storytime will not be held.

Music and Movement
Every Two weeks on Tuesday

Music and Movement is a lively and noisy program for toddlers and preschoolers aged 1-5 and their caregivers.

Join us on every other Tuesday as we explore a variety of songs, dances, and instruments while finding new ways to move our bodies.

This program is designed to engage children and get them excited about music, improve their fine and gross motor skills through movement, and spark their creativity while supporting the development of their mind and body.

See our Calendar to see which days this program occurs.

Storytime for Infants to Age 2: Mother Goose on the Loose

Monday at 11AM

This story hour is for young children (infants to age 2) accompanied by an adult.

The program helps children develop early literacy skills, a stepping stone in getting your child ready to read. Nursery rhymes, movement games, finger plays, music and stories encourage children to recognize patterns of language at a very young age. It's great fun for parents and children!

All sessions are "Drop-In"; no sign up necessary and will continue through the summer until the end of Summer Reading Program.
