During the Friends' programming season, there are monthly raffle baskets that are awarded at each 2nd Tuesday monthly program. Raffle tickets are $1 for one or $5 for six. One winner will be chosen at random at the beginning of the meeting, but you do not have to be present to win.
Until the library can safely open again, we'll be postponing our fundraiser raffles. For more information, please email us at email@example.com
Amazon Smile is a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. The difference is that when customers shop on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organizations selected by customers.
Elaine David Thrift Shop at the Hampstead Public Library
***The Friends voted to keep the Shop closed for the remainder of 2020. We will revisit our plans in the New Year. ***
Regular hours: Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9AM to 1PM
There is something nice to wear for everyone in the family at the Elaine David Thrift Shop. The shop is located in the basement of the Hampstead Public Library and is open all year. It features good quality, clean, gently used seasonal clothing for men, women and children. Check out the half-price sales at the end of every season.
The Thrift Shop cannot accept furniture, utensils, or books. There just isn’t space for anything except good, clean clothing for men, women and children. All such donations are gratefully received.
You may bring your donations to the shop during its regular open hours, Tuesdays from 9AM to 1PM. and Saturdays from 9AM to 1PM, or bring them to the front desk of the library if you can't make it when the Thrift Shop is open for business. If you've never visited the Thrift Shop you're in for a surprise as you check out the very high quality clothing in stock at incredibly low prices.
It is the primary fund raising effort of the Friends of the Hampstead Public Library. The proceeds are used to support library programs and to help finance library purchases that are not covered in the budget.
