Due to rising cases of COVID -19 in our community and with Rockingham County at a positivity rate over 5%, the Hampstead Public Library is temporarily suspending in-person browsing appointments. The Library’s Pandemic Policy strives to balance the needs of the community with the safety of our staff and our patrons.
When appointments are safer again, you will be able to book appointments up to 7 days in advance.
To book an appointment, call the library at 603-329-6411 or book using the link below. Select the date and time, then complete the form online. A library card number is required. You can come alone, or bring other people in your household.
Librarians will clean between patrons, so please arrive on time and honor the 30-minute limit to ensure others can enter at their allotted time. Due to our policy, patrons must wear masks and practice social distancing while in the buidling. A hand-santizing station will be at the door. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
Computers will be available inside the library for strict 30 minute appointments, but laptops are still available to reserve and borrow for use outside and within WiFi range on the library property (e.g. in the parking lot or Storybook Garden.) Library staff can print or copy or fax items for patrons via the Curbside Pickup process. Call us to arrange the best solution for your needs. Regular fees will apply for these services.
The children’s playroom, study rooms, and meeting rooms will not be available at this time.
