Adult Summer Reading

Welcome to the 2021 Adult Summer Reading Program Page!

All High School students and adults are welcome to participate.  Please register in person at the Library and get your first raffle ticket along with a Reading Log and Book Review papers.  If you are unable to come to the Library at this time, please call us to register (329-6411.) There is NO required reading. Read what you want.  The more you read the more chances you get to win great prizes.  (see list below)


  1. REGISTER for the Adult SRP at the Library (Starting June 14). Note: the online registration and book log & review forms have been discontinued. Please email Janet, if this presents an inconvenience for you.   If you already registered online, we have captured that information. 

  2. READ whatever you want, whenever you want between June 14 and August 6, 2021.

    1. Paperback & hard cover books, E-books, audiobooks, J (junior) novels, and YA (young adult) novels all count.  Children’s picture books and easy readers do not count.

    2. Keep track of the title & author of the books you read. 

    3. This year, we are also giving credit for magazines read (i.e. 3 magazines = 1 book). Keep track of magazine name and edition date.

  3. RECORD 

    1. Submit your books read on a Reading Log* paper or use paper of your own.

    2. Submit brief Book Reviews* and get more chances to win. 

    3. Submit your Reading Log and Book Reviews anytime. You can do it once a week, once a month, etc. 

    4. *To print your own copies of the paper logs and reviews, find them here: Book Log , Magazine Log ,  or Book Reviews.

  4. DEADLINE for submitting Reading Logs and Book Reviews: FRIDAY, AUGUST 6th.  

  5. RAFFLE TICKETS - Retrieve your raffle tickets at the Library.  There are bags on the large window near the new book section.  (See prize list below.) Each bag corresponds to a prize displayed in the nearby display case. You get to choose which prize you want to win. Put your earned raffle tickets in the bag that corresponds to the prize(s) you want to win.  Be sure to include your name and phone number on the ticket, so we can call you if/when you win.

  6. PRIZE DRAWING - Raffles for all adult prizes will be drawn on our around Monday, August 9th.
